Sciences Po offers Sciences Po Seydoux Undergraduate Scholarships at Seydoux for excellent students from developing countries to study for a bachelor’s degree in France. The scholarship is open to citizens and/or residents of ten countries located in the expanded Mediterranean basin and allows those wishing to study at Po level science to a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
The Seydoux Scholarship, created with the support of the Fondation de France, commemorates the memory of Rene Seydoux and his commitment to dialogue in the Mediterranean. The scholarship is open to citizens and/or residents of ten countries located in the expanded Mediterranean basin and allows those who want to study science at the postgraduate level.

Poe Sciences is pleased to invite applicants for undergraduate and graduate scholarships to Poe Seydoux from outstanding students from developing countries to pursue undergraduate studies in France. The scholarship is open to citizens and/or residents of ten countries located in the expanded Mediterranean basin and allows those who want to study science at the level of a bachelor’s degree.
Rene Sideox Scholarships are awarded by selection committees overseeing the management of Academic and Scientific Scholarships of Poe Science and are comprised of representatives of Academic Programs, the Department of Strategy and Development of Poe Science and the Department of International Affairs.

Scholarship Host
Poe Sciences or the Institute of Political Studies in Paris is a university located in Paris, France. It has a reputation in France as an elite institution and is ranked 4th in the world in politics and international research by the QS University World Schools Rankings 2017. The school is one of the best schools in France for every international student.
It was founded in Paris in 1872 by Emil Botami as a private school (“free”). Boutmy aimed at modernizing the education of political elites in France by teaching them contemporary history rather than classical studies, which they could still study in universities at the time.
She was given an important role in the French public service system and many members of the French public service attended this school at the top of the universities.
In the years 1872-1936 there were only two directors in the school: Emil Botami and Eugene d’Aichtel. The school was re-established in 1945 as a semi-public “institute”, after criticizing its staff’s attitude during World War II and calling for its closure.
Sciences Po Seydoux Undergraduate Scholarships value
Successful students will receive a scholarship of € 20,000 per year for the duration of their undergraduate degree program and for the duration of their master’s degree program in case the student continues his / her studies in science at the master’s degree level. The scholarship covers full tuition and living expenses.
Who is eligible to apply for Sciences Po Seydoux Undergraduate Scholarships
Applicants must meet the following area for the scholarship:
- The Seydoux Scholarship is intended for students who are able to demonstrate a genuine interest in relations between Mediterranean countries. The scholarship is awarded on the basis of academic excellence, social criteria;
- Candidates must be a resident and/or citizen of one of the following countries: Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey;
- Applicants must be admitted to the Ph.D.
- Candidates must meet the English proficiency requirements required of the host institution;
Applicants must have a degree in a previous year.

What is Sciences Po Seydoux Undergraduate Scholarships Selection process?
Applicants must first apply for studies in Poe Sciences and indicate the selected curriculum. Applications must be submitted at the Poe Science Admissions website, including all supporting documents requested for the Emile Boutmy Scholarship Application.
During the two weeks following the student’s application, all applicants must also apply for the Sideox Scholarship by sending an application to Caterina Sabbatini Clec’h at [email protected].
This application must include the following documents:
- A cover letter describing motivations for previous interest or experience in actions aimed at promoting and bringing together Mediterranean people in social, cultural or scientific fields.
- Any other evidence indicating the candidate’s motivation (letter of recommendation, testimony for volunteer work, personal work, etc.).
